Editorial Assessment and Developmental Editing
What’s the difference between an editorial assessment and a developmental edit?
Both are services for when you have a completed draft and are looking for outside feedback on what might be working or not. The main difference is in the level of feedback and suggestions you will receive on your completed manuscript.
Editorial assessment
An editorial assessment is broad feedback on the major strengths and weaknesses in your plot, characters, or structure. You can expect 2-5 pages of feedback on the big-picture of your book.

And if you would like to purchase another editing service from me after your editorial assessment, you can apply half of the cost of the EA toward the new service.
Developmental editing
Developmental editing involves specific feedback and suggestions on the big-picture of your book. You can expect detailed feedback within your manuscript on the overall structure of the book, including plot issues, character motivation and interaction, inconsistencies, with the overall goal of tightening and focusing the big-picture reading experience. You will also receive an editorial report summarizing the feedback and suggesting editorial priorities.
